Our approach

The court is
our classroom.

Every drill we run is a lesson in something bigger. Dribbling teaches focus. Passing teaches generosity. Losing teaches grace. Winning teaches responsibility.

We use basketball because kids love it. But what they take home is the magic phrase from every class — "I can do it" — and the confidence to prove it.

Who we are

Hands On
Hoops.

Hands On Hoops exists because kids' sports were missing something: a genuine focus on the whole child. Not just what they can do with a ball — but who they're becoming in the process.

Our approach is simple: meet every child at their level, make it joyful, and hold high expectations for character. We coach children from age 2 and up, building confidence one class at a time.

My daughter loves the classes, its magical how all 2 and 3 year olds are engaged and learning in every class. We also celebrated her 3rd birthday with hands on hoops and was a blast!

Coach Mike is excellent. Really aims to instill sportsmanship and teamwork into each kid. From listening to being on time he works on more than just basketball. My son loves going to class.

Coach Mike and his team are amazing — very communicative and easy to work with. Basketball class has become my toddler's favorite activity of the week.
Laura B.Toddler class
My 6yo loved this basketball class... My son had ZERO basketball experience (or knowledge) coming in, and gained skills and a love of the game. The coaches really love kids.
Ali F.First-grade group class
We met at a birthday party and then started group lessons for my 5 year old. He has gotten materially better quickly and loves it. Highly recommend!

Coach Mike held a multi-sports spring break camp and my son and his friends had the BEST time!! ...all while learning about teamwork and sportsmanship.
